Make your profile private
Remove your attorney profile from search engines and limit its details to signed-in users.
Change your visibility
- Claim your attorney profile if you have not already.
- Sign in and open account settings.
- Under Profile visibility, choose Private.
The setting saves automatically and takes effect on Referlex immediately. Judicial profiles cannot be made private.
What changes
- Signed-out visitors see your name and a private-profile notice.
- Only signed-in users can see your case data, practice areas, courts, credentials, reviews, and contact details.
- Your name still appears in Referlex search and on firm, law school, county, and court pages.
Search engines
A private profile asks search engines not to index it and is removed from our sitemap. Removal from search results is not immediate; it usually takes days but can take a few weeks.
If you need removal sooner, contact support with your profile link. We can request removal from Google.
Make your profile public again
Choose Public under Profile visibility in account settings. Making a profile private does not delete its public-record data or reviews. Signed-in users can still view and review it.
