Troubleshooting and Support
Resolve connection, document, payment, and delivery problems and gather the right information for support.
Court or Case Choices Will Not Load
Wait for the current lookup or court-configuration refresh to finish. Verify the selected court and read the reported error. “CMS unavailable” refers to the court's case system, not necessarily all of eFileTexas. Try the same lookup later or contact support with the court, time, and error. Do not switch the legal destination to another court just because its search works.
A missing code or a document-type mismatch can be a court configuration issue. Report the exact court, category, case type, filing code, and choices offered. Avoid selecting an inaccurate option to bypass a required field.
A Document Cannot Be Attached or Needs Reattachment
Check its actual file format, extension, slot requirements, and the envelope's remaining 7.5 MB allowance. Open the source file to verify it is usable. After a reload or a new tab, reattach the files described in the saved draft. Check classifications after replacing a document.
Review Will Not Continue
Read the required-item list. Common causes include missing files, a required party role, the filing attorney, a payment account, a court prompt, or the final review statement. Resolve the listed item in its step. A current fee check can temporarily keep the final action waiting.
Payment Registration Did Not Finish
Return to the hosted registration page and check whether it completed. Allow the requested tab if the browser blocked it. Then return to the filing and refresh the eligible payment choices. Do not submit card or bank numbers through a support message. An account that was added successfully can still be ineligible for the selected court.
Submission Timed Out or Shows No Outcome
Keep the draft and record. Check Filings and the available eFileTexas record before trying again. Provide the submission or envelope identifier to support. A timeout is not proof of failure; creating a second submission can duplicate the first. If Referlex explicitly offers a protected continuation of the same attempt, follow that on-screen instruction rather than creating a replacement draft.
A Filing or Stamped Document Is Missing
Check the environment, connected account, and list filters. Open the record to distinguish a pending review from a reported acceptance. Use the limited eFileTexas lookup when appropriate. For an envelope submitted through another provider, obtain its detailed records from that provider. If the clerk has accepted the filing but its stamped document remains unavailable, contact support with the envelope number and the acceptance details.
Someone Did Not Receive Service
Check the selected recipient's address, the filing's delivery log, and service notifications. Copy recipients and electronic service contacts are separate lists. A contact attached to a case and a recipient selected for this submission are also different records. An undeliverable notice needs attention; marking it read does not resend the document.
Get Help and Keep Your Records
For a Referlex screen, connection, upload, or missing-record problem, use Contact Support. Include the environment, court, relevant submission/envelope identifier, approximate time and timezone, the action you attempted, and the error text. Include a screenshot when useful, with sensitive details removed.
For court-specific filing codes, required documents, clerk comments, or court procedures, contact the appropriate clerk's office. Questions about what you should file, jurisdiction, deadlines, or legally sufficient service require the applicable rules and, when needed, legal advice.
Keep your final source documents, submission acknowledgment, clerk decision, available stamped documents, service evidence, and actual payment records together. Do not send passwords, complete financial account details, or unnecessary confidential documents in a support request.
