This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have. We've tried to keep it short and specific rather than long and evasive.
What we collect
We collect (a) public-record data about Texas attorneys from government sources, (b) account info you provide (name, email, bar number for attorney claims), (c) review content you submit, and (d) standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps).
What we don't collect
We do not sell user data. We do not fingerprint devices across the open web. We do not buy personal data from brokers. We do not track you after you leave referlex.com.
Cookies
We use a small set of first-party cookies to keep you logged in and remember preferences. Analytics is first-party and aggregate — no individual session recordings, no third-party retargeting pixels.
How we use data
Data about attorneys is used to generate public profiles, charts, and directories. Data about users is used to authenticate accounts, attribute reviews to an identity-verified reviewer, and respond when you contact us.
Sharing
We share data with (a) hosting and email vendors under written data-processing agreements, (b) law enforcement only with lawful process, and (c) a potential acquirer in the event of a sale — in which case these terms transfer intact.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing data@referlex.com. Reviews once published are public record; removal is granted only on guideline violations, not reader's remorse.
Texas specifics
Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. We honor verified requests to access, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising (of which we do none). Children under 13 may not use Referlex.
