Keep your profile off search engines.
Referlex profiles are built from public State Bar and court records, and we don’t delete public records. What we can do is make yours private: the page leaves Google, and only people signed in to Referlex can see its details. It takes a few minutes, and you can undo it any time.
You claim the profile first because the request has to come from you. The claim is the identity check — the same one attorneys use to add a photo, a bio, or contact details.
Find your profile.
Search Referlex by your name or State Bar number and open your page. Every Texas attorney in good standing has one, built from the public State Bar record — you don’t create it, you claim it.

Click Claim profile on your page and sign in with your email. We verify it’s really you with a text or call to the phone number the State Bar has on file for you. If that number isn’t one you control, or the Bar has none on file, request a manual review instead — we confirm your identity and connect the account, usually within one business day.
Turn on “Keep my profile private.”
Once the claim is verified, open Profile, find the editor for your public page, check Keep my profile private, and save. The change takes effect on Referlex immediately.

Your page now tells Google, Bing, and the rest not to index it, and it leaves our sitemap the same day. Search engines drop a page on their own schedule — usually days, sometimes a few weeks. If you need it gone faster, email us and we’ll file a removal request with Google on your behalf.

- Visitors who aren’t signed in to Referlex see only your name and a notice that you’ve asked to keep your details private.
- Your case data, practice areas, courts, credentials, reviews, and contact details are shown only to signed-in Referlex users.
- Your profile is removed from the sitemap search engines crawl.
- Your name still appears in Referlex’s own search and on firm, law school, county, and court pages — those are Referlex-only and are not indexed by name.
- Nothing is deleted. Reviews and public-record data stay intact, and you can turn the setting off at any time to restore the page.
- Signed-in users can still read and review your profile.
- Judicial profiles can’t be made private: an attorney linked to a judge record stays public, because the bench is public record.
