# Testing in Stage

Stage is a separate test environment. Its accounts, courts, payment setup, case data, and outcomes must not be treated as production records. Use clearly labeled test documents and appropriate test identities and recipients. Service emails can still reach selected addresses, so use recipients who are part of the test.

A court listed in Stage may have incomplete configuration or an unavailable test CMS. A successful Stage submission does not prove that the same code, fee, document classification, or case will be available in production. A Stage failure also does not establish that the real court is unavailable.

Before live work, verify the environment banner, account, court, documents, recipients, and payment choice again. Stage filing is never a substitute for a real filing deadline.
