# Firm Administration

The firm workspace separates records that are often confused:

| Section | Purpose |
| --- | --- |
| Firm Profile | The firm's name, address, and phone held by eFileTexas. |
| Attorneys | Attorney names and bar numbers that can be selected on a filing. |
| Filer Accounts | People who sign in, their roles, and whether their accounts can file. |
| Payment Accounts | The firm's saved payment methods and their details. |
| Service Contacts | Recipients used for electronic service and their case associations. |
| eFileTexas Account | The connected login and password controls. |
| Notifications | The signed-in user's delivery preferences. |

Available actions depend on your eFileTexas permissions. If a change is refused, ask the firm administrator to review your access rather than assuming the information was saved.

In **Attorneys**, check names and bar numbers before adding or editing a record. Adding an attorney does not create a login. In **Filer Accounts**, an administrator can use the available add, edit, role, password, approval, or activation controls. Check the “Can File Envelopes” status and the explanation for restricted accounts. Grant access according to the person's actual responsibility.

In **Payment Accounts**, identify methods by the displayed name and masked details. Follow the hosted registration flow for a new card or bank account, and review the confirmation before removing a saved account. Removing a method is not a refund and does not cancel a filing that already used it. Eligibility is still checked for the court selected in each draft.

In **Service Contacts**, verify email addresses and any administrative or copy details before saving. Texas does not allow Referlex to publish contacts into the statewide public directory through these controls. Managing your firm's private contacts and searching the public directory are separate functions.

A contact's **Attached Cases** view lets you inspect case associations. Use **Attach to a Case** with the correct court and case identifier when appropriate. **Detach From This Case** requires confirmation because it can stop future documents in that case from reaching the contact. Removing a recipient from one draft is different from changing this ongoing case association.
